Money is a complex topic, and the Bible has a lot to say about it. While it's true that the love of money is the root of all evil, it's important to remember that money itself is not bad. In fact, the Bible encourages us to be content with what we have and to use money responsibly. Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” This verse reminds us that money should not be our ultimate goal in life. Proverbs 11:24-25 says, “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” This verse reminds us that when we give generously, we will be blessed in return. In addition, the Bible teaches us to be wise stewards of our money. In Luke 16:10-12, Jesus said, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?” This verse reminds us that we should use our resources wisely and responsibly. Overall, the Bible teaches us that money is not bad in itself; rather, it's our attitude towards it that matters.
